Slogan:
Is a trademark consisting of a phrase made up of words, especially for advertising goods, services or establisments. It is compulsory to include in the slogan a trademark already registered in the same class for which the slogan is being applied for.

INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF GOODS AND SERVICES

Apart from the previously mentioned classes, corresponding to the International Classification of Goods and Services, trademarks can also be classified under the following classes in Chile:

  • Industrial Establishment:
    It is a classification corresponding to trademarks registered to distinguish an establishment for producing and manufacturing goods.
  • Commercial Establishment:
    It is a classifcation for trademarks registered to distinguish the name of an establishment where goods are bought and sold. Commercial Establishments protect trademarks per region. It is, therefore, necessary to specify the region (s) in which the trademark (s) must be protected. Chile has 13 regions.
